List: Memorial Day events across central Georgia

Several events will take place across central Georgia this weekend in observance of Memorial Day.

Thursday, May 24

-Robins AFB will host its Airmen's Memorial Service at 10 a.m. at the Museum of Aviation

Saturday, May 26

-Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon will have a community celebration for Memorial Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free hot dogs, flags, a guitarist playing patriotic music and different drawings

Sunday, May 27

-The annual Dublin VA Memorial Day Program will be held in the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center’s auditorium on at 2 p.m.

-The annual Memorial Day observance program will be held at the Andersonville National Cemetery at 2 p.m.

Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day)

-The Macon Cemetery Preservation Corporation will have a Memorial Day program at 11 a.m. in Linwood Cemetery in Walnut Street

-The annual Warner Robins Memorial Day ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Mayor Randy Toms will be the guest speaker.

-The Monticello Community Band will celebrate Memorial Day with a free concert at 7 p.m. on the lawn of Thomas Persons Hall in Monticello, Georgia at 7 p.m.

-Robins Family Housing will host the Wear Blue: Run to Remember event on Memorial Day run at 8 a.m. This is a Free Run and walk for anyone to participate in if they have base access.

-Masonic Lodge in Warner Robins will host a Memorial Day Barbecue from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

-Christ Chapel Church in Cochran, Georgia will have a fireworks show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

-A Memorial Day observance will be held at the Monroe County Courthouse at 11 a.m.

-The Museum of Aviation Foundation will host a special movie showing of God is My Co-Pilot at 1:30 p.m. at the Scott Theater Auditorium. This will be a free event.

-There will be a Memorial Day service at Milledgeville Cemetery at 11 a.m.
