Macon-Bibb fire department responds to two house fires in Macon, one woman found unresponsive

The woman was taken to Atrium Health Navicent.

MACON, Ga. — Two houses were on fire in Macon on Thursday night. One woman was found unresponsive during one of them.=

The first fire happened at 7:15 p.m. in the 700 block of Pebble Street, according to Macon Fire Chief Shane Edwards. 

He says no one was inside the home but the cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

The second fire happened at 7:35 p.m. in the 700 block of Beddingfield Avenue. 

Edwards says it was a large fire and an elderly woman was found unresponsive inside the home. 

She was taken to Atrium Health Navicent. 

Edwards says this fire is still under investigation.
