Company involved with Stranger Things is looking for extras in Macon

The casting call doesn't name the production, but they are looking for actual law enforcement and firefighters along with people to play spectators

MACON, Ga. — People who regularly work as extras in shows around Georgia know Casting TaylorMade as the company that finds people with that just-right '80's vibe for the Netflix hit "Stranger Things."

The casting company works with a number of other major productions including feature films. Right now, they're casting for an unnamed production in Macon.

The casting call appears to be for a SWAT scene of some kind. Producers are looking for actual SWAT Team members, officers and deputies, and firefighters for the scene. They also need people to play "onlookers."

The shoot looks like it will last one day. It's scheduled for Tuesday, October 1st.

The pay is actually pretty good. If you are a real SWAT Team member you can earn $150 for 12 hours work, and they are trying to get approval for you to receive that pay for just eight hours.

Experienced firefighters are also getting the $150 rate for 12 hours. Deputies, officers, and people portraying "onlookers" will get $75 for eight hours.

Typically, you earn at least $75 even if the shoot lasts less than eight hours, and you get time-and-a-half if it goes longer.
