The Macon Marriott located off of Coliseum Drive will soon have new owners.
At Tuesday night's pre-commission meeting, commissioners met in executive session to be briefed about the sale of Marriott to the Linchris Hotel Corporation, a group out of Massachusetts.
Mark Rafuse, the chief administrative officer, says the hotel will still operate under the Marriott name, just with new owners.
"Their investment and commitment to maintaining and the premium Marriott brand indicates a bright future ahead for this important Macon venue," said Rafuse.
Rafuse also says the sale of the hotel could take up to a week to go through.
