Macon pedestrian in stable condition after being hit by car on Pio Nono Avenue

52-year-old Wallace Lewis Faulkner was hit by a car on Pio Nono Avenue while trying to cross the street.

MACON, Ga. — Bibb deputies are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car on Pio Nono Avenue and Anthony Road just before 5 p.m. Monday.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 52-year-old Wallace Lewis Faulkner was crossing eastbound in the northbound lanes of Pio Nono Avenue when a car approached traveling north and hit him. The driver tried to avoid hitting Faulkner, but was unable to do so.

Faulkner was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health where he is listed in stable condition. No one else was hurt.
