Macon pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident on Harrison Road identified

The driver stopped to check on the woman and then drove away.

MACON, Ga. — Bibb deputies are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed in the 4800 block of Harrison Road Tuesday night.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, just before 9 p.m., the call came in about a person hit. When they made it to the scene, deputies found an unresponsive woman in the road.

The woman was taken to the Medical Center, Atrium Health Navicent where she later died. Coroner Leon Jones identified the woman as 35-year-old Myeisha Veronica Glenn.

Deputies say the woman was hit by an SUV. After hitting the Glenn, the unidentified driver turned around, stopped to check on the woman, but then drove away.

Deputies are looking for a white Chevy Suburban or Tahoe made between the years 2000-2006. Its front right headlight is likely to have damage.

"Please, whoever did this to my Myeisha, please come forward. Please come forward because she didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve this at all," said Glenn’s mother, Sylvia Ross.

Ross says Glenn was a loving and kind young woman who worked as a caregiver for the elderly.

"She was very caring. Fun to be around. She's outgoing. She would help anybody," Ross said.

The driver was a man wearing a white tank top, black pants, and black shoes.
