Macon seniors get together at Valentine's Ball

"It is about love, which we are truly needing in our community of Macon-Bibb."

MACON, Ga. — Wednesday night, seniors from all around the community came out to enjoy the Valentine's Ball at the Elaine Lucas Senior Center.

The mission for the event is to allow seniors to have fun while dancing to '70s and '80s music and fellowship with others from around the Macon-Bibb community. It's also an opportunity for those seniors who are 50 and older to stay active.

"It is about love, which we are truly needing in our community of Macon-Bibb right now, so it gives us an opportunity to still smile at one another and say, 'Hey, we still have some love going on in Macon-Bibb,'" said senior center supervisor Andrea Lee.

The Valentine's Ball is an annual event.
