Man shot after argument in downtown Macon

A man is charged with aggravated assault after allegedly shooting someone multiple times in a verbal fight.

James Watson is charged with aggravated assault, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

A man was shot multiple times during a argument Wednesday in downtown Macon.

Glenwood Lamar was shot on the 1000 block of Ash Street, a few blocks away from Mercer University's campus, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release.

James Watson, 18, turned himself in after midnight Thursday after having fled the scene. He's charged with aggravated assault.

Lamar is listed in stable condition at the hospital.
