Man dead after Macon gas station shooting

Macon-Bibb County Corner Leon Jones said 20-year-old Randon Hogan is dead after a shooting at a Shell gas station on Mercer University Drive

MACON, Ga. — A Macon man is dead after a shooting at a Macon gas station on Wednesday.

Macon-Bibb County Corner Leon Jones said someone shot 20-year-old Randon Hogan dead at a Shell gas station at 3750 Mercer University Drive. 

Jones says Hogan was shot in the chest.

A release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says he died shortly after being taken to Navicent Health.

Jones says Hogan was pronounced dead around 3 p.m. at the hospital. 

This is Macon's 12th homicide of 2019.
