Man shot after argument in east Macon

Bibb County deputies say it happened Sunday evening near Leaf Street.

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot in east Macon Sunday evening.

Deputies responded to the Medical Center, Navicent Health for a person with a gunshot wound.

According to a news release from the sheriff's office, the shooting happened near Leaf Street and Applewood Street just after 5 p.m. 

The release says someone shot a 39-year-old Macon man at Davis Homes after an argument.

The victim was hit in the right leg and a friend drove him to the hospital, where he is listed in stabled condition, according to the sheriff's office.

No one else was hurt.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says they have no information on the suspect.
