Museum of Aviation holds annual auction and raffle

Attendees got to bid on more than 350 items including vacation packages and taste food from 25 different restaurants

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Some Central Georgia folks went home Saturday night with a little extra cash in their pockets.

The Museum of Aviation held their 34th annual Auction, Raffle, and 'Taste of Local Cuisine' in the Century of Flight Hangar.

13WMAZ's very own Frank Malloy and Ben Jones hosted the event which featured food from 25 local restaurants, cash prizes, and a live silent auction that included vacation packages and more than 350 items up for bid. 

Museum President Darlene McClendon says the event is a great networking opportunity for the Central Georgia community and she enjoys seeing new faces coming to support the museum every year.

"To hear them talking about their love for the museum and the exhibits and the heritage and their pride in our American Air Force and Robins Air Force Base specifically -- it's always encouraging. And you leave with a great sense of national pride and certainly that of Middle Georgia and Warner Robins," McClendon said.

Saturday's event is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the Museum of Aviation.
