MACON, Ga. — UPDATE, 7:40 p.m.:
Bibb deputies, with the help of Georgia State troopers, have arrested four people in the shooting that happened at the Walmart located at 1401 Gray Highway Monday night.
According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, a 39-year-old man was walking to his car when he noticed a group of people who had broken in and were taking things out of the car. He chased the suspects and they began firing shots, and he was hit.
The man was taken to the Medical Center, Atrium Health Navicent with non-life threatening injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol heard the description of the suspects and found them running from the area. After a chase, the four juvenile suspects were captured and turned over to the sheriff's office.
The juveniles were taken to the regional Youth Detention Center where they are charged with Aggravated Assault, Entering Auto, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm Under the age of 18 years old.
A person was shot at the Walmart on Gray Highway according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say it was related to a potential car theft.
The person shot had non-life threatening injuries.
Two people were arrested.
