Stacey Abrams secures Democratic nomination for Ga. Governor's race

Democrat Stacey Abrams has secured the Democratic nomination for the 2018 Georgia Governor's race

The election results are in and Democrat Stacey Abrams will be up against the winner of the Republican nomination in the general election on November 6.

Here's more information about Adams:

The 44-year-old has been in politics for 12 years and her path towards the governorship began as a tax attorney turned Deputy City Attorney for the city of Atlanta.

She decided to run for office in 2006 and has been in the political arena since.

She was recently House Minority Leader for the Georgia General Assembly and State Representative for the 89th House District.
