TELFAIR COUNTY, Ga. — The Telfair County Sheriff's Office is searching for an inmate who they say escaped from the Telfair County Jail just after 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.
According to a Facebook post on the sheriff's office's page, Robert C. Lee is considered dangerous. The post says he is possibly wearing grey shorts and a white T-shirt instead of his orange jumpsuit. Lee also has ties to the Lumber City area.
At 10:35 p.m., The Telfair County Sheriff's Office said they are still searching for Lee, as they believe he may be attempting to get to the Jacksonville, Florida area where he has family.
The sheriff's office says Lee is considered dangerous and if you see him, please call 911.
