The search is on for 13 WMAZ's new crew of Junior Journalists

It won't be easy to say goodbye to our 2017-2019 Junior Journalists

MACON, Ga. — If your child has the dream and the drive, they could soon hear the words, ‘You’re a Junior Journalist!’

We are ready to begin the search for our next team of Junior Journalists. A team of 10 students from across Central Georgia serve for two years, representing 13WMAZ in their communities and working with real reporters on stories each week.

Our JJs also have the privilege of honoring educators by presenting the My Teacher is Tops award.

There are two opportunities to audition: Tuesday, July 16 at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon, and Wednesday, July 24 at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins.

Auditions are from 6-8 p.m. both evenings.

To qualify, you must have a birthday between August 1, 2006 and August 1, 2009. You must also live in the 13WMAZ viewing area and you must also have a parent or guardian who can provide transportation on reporting days.

On the day of the auditions, you must bring a copy of your birth certificate and proof of residence, such as a mortgage or utility bill.

You can attend either session regardless of where in the viewing area you live, but it is not necessary to attend both.

We can't wait to see all the blossoming young talent here in Central Georgia!
