TRAFFIC ALERT | GA-247 and Russell Parkway exit ramps closed for film shoot next week

Georgia Department of Transportation is warning drivers to expect delays

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. —

Georgia 247 and Russell Parkway's exit ramps will be closed overnight next week due to a film shoot in Warner Robins.

The two off-ramps from State Route 247 to Robins Air Force Base's Russell gate and the two on-ramps from Russell Parkway to 247 will be closed next Thursday and Friday night, July 18-19, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., according to a Georgia Department of Transportation press release. 

The film shoot is likely for the cataclysmic natural disaster movie, Greenland, starring Gerald Butler. The film is scheduled to be released in 2020. 

The ramp from 247 to Russell Parkway towards I-75 and the ramp from Russell Parkway to 247 will remain open to traffic.

There will be detours around the film shoot. GDOT advises drivers to use alternate routes and exit before the ramp closures.
