No injuries are reported and no hazardous materials are involved or leaking, according to Houston County EMA.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A set of train cars has derailed in Warner Robins near Robins Air Force Base, according to authorities.

Warner Robins Police Chief John Wagner said they're working on the derailment.

No injuries are reported, and no hazardous materials are involved or leaking

Watson Boulevard at Highway 247 will be closed for an extended timeframe. A detour down 3rd Street is effective until further notice.

Robins Air Force Base asks for all traffic coming from Macon to use the Green Street gate. All gates will be open, but drivers could experience delays. The main gate on Watson Boulevard is currently open for entrance only.

Southbound lanes of Highway 247 will be closed at various times between Green Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Norfolk Southern will have heavy equipment blocking lanes as they work to get the rail cars upright.  Drivers will be diverted down Green Street during these closures.

Gravel will also be down in the roadway, drivers are asked to proceed with caution through the area or avoid it if possible.

One witness told 13WMAZ it happened near the North Davis Drive and Highway 247 intersection.

She said several cars had flipped on its side.
