MACON, Ga. — UPDATE: Wednesday, 5 p.m. 

Coroner Leon Jones says the autopsy results are 'inconclusive.' 

He added that his office is still waiting for toxicology and other lab results to return, which could take up to three months to come back. 


The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 3-month-old died Tuesday.

According to a news release, deputies were sent to a home in the 2800-block of Regina Drive around 1:30 p.m. for an unconscious child.

It was reported to them that the 3-month-old boy was found unresponsive by the grandmother.

EMS arrived at the home and the child was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine case of death.

The case is under investigation and no further information is available.
