Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones has identified the man who was struck and killed Friday morning.
He is Carvin Hill, age 51, who lived at the nearby Magnolia Court Motel.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones confirms a pedestrian was hit and killed at the intersection of Houston Avenue and Broadway in Macon just after 7 a.m. Friday morning.
Coroner Jones says the victim was a man, born in 1967. At 8:30 a.m., his identity had not yet been released as authorities notify next of kin.
Jones originally said the man was from out of state, but later determined he was from East Macon.
Bibb deputies say the driver was 49-year-old Joey Warren of Warner Robins, driving a Dodge pickup truck.
Deputies warned that the scene could affect traffic. Avoid the area.
