UPDATE: Macon Bibb investigators are still searching for Faulkner's killer.

Charles Barlette says he owns half of the house located at 1776 First Avenue. Brenda Faulkner owned the other half.

"I've been good friends with her for 30 years. She helped me raise my two boys," says Barlette.

According to Barlette three other men also live in the house, including Faulkner's boyfriend.

Lieutenant Randy Gonzalez with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to the home on Wednesday night for a domestic dispute between Faulkner and her boyfriend.

Barlette says on Wednesday night his girlfriend stayed the night in the home on First Avenue with him. When the woke up Thursday morning he found Faulkner dead and called 911.

"When I went into the bedroom I looked, but it was so dark, so I couldn't see her body. I felt down and felt her head. I turned on the light and it was so ugly," says Barlette.

He says her face was bloody and bruised.

Bibb deputies arrived to the scene around 11 a.m. Thursday. After initial investigation they realized Faulkner's car was missing from her driveway. They found her white Ford mustang on Robinson Circle around 3:30 Thursday afternoon.

Gonzalez says a man ran from the car when deputies located it.

The Sheriff's Office has not named a suspect yet. Gonzalez says the man driving Faulkner's car will be a person of interest.


UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has found Faulkner's car.


UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is calling a Pleasant Hill woman's death a homicide.

They've identified the victim as Brenda Faulkner, age 58, who lived at the house at 1776 First Ave..

They are asking for the public’s help in locating her vehicle. It is a 2002 White Ford Mustang with Georgia tag RGB-8890. The vehicle also has a crack in the rear bumper.


A woman was found dead in a house Thursday morning in Macon at 1776 First Ave.

Her name is Brenda Faulkner, 58.

Bibb County deputies responded to a call for a person down at about 11 a.m., according to a news release.

The Bibb County Crime Scene Unit is on the scene. Investigators say they're looking for Faulkner's vehicle because it's not at the house.

They're looking for a white Ford Mustang with Georgia tags RGB8890.
