MACON, Ga. — Starting Tuesday, a new voice will be joining the WDEN morning show with co-host Laura Starling.
James Bierley will serve as one-half of the Laura and James Morning Show airing weekdays from 6-10 a.m. on Cumulus Radio’s #1 Country 99 WDEN.
Bierley previously hosted the morning show on WGTR in Myrtle Beach, SC, and he’s also worked at WHFX/WYNR in Brunswick and WGST in Atlanta.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to work with Laura Starling and the staff at WDEN. The station has a long history of success in Middle Georgia and I can’t wait to be a part of this heritage station. Country radio and morning radio is my passion and I can’t wait to get started working mornings in Middle Georgia with Laura”, Bierley said.
He graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Atlanta, and started his radio career in West Georgia in 2007
He also enjoys local breweries, pub food, and any kind of sports. He also owns a Harley Davidson motorcycle and likes riding for fun, as well as doing charitable work with the biker community.
Starling, who is a Macon radio icon, has been with WDEN for more than 30 years and much of her time has been on the morning show.
In 2018, Starling received her highest honor when she was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall Fame for her long and distinguished career in radio.
Bierley will be Starling’s third co-host in her morning show career at the station.
