MACON, Ga. — UPDATE, 8:25 p.m.:
Bibb deputies have arrested a suspect after a woman was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting Thursday morning.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 39-year-old Jeremiah Wayne Waller Jr. was arrested Thursday afternoon. He was taken to the Bibb County jail where he is charged with murder. Waller also had an outstanding warrant for the charge of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Felony. Additional charges are pending.
Waller is being held without bond.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting Thursday morning.
According to a news release, it happened in the 1200-block of Appling Court around 9:30 a.m.
It was reported to deputies that 30-year-old Patricia Gamboa was inside a van when she was shot by a man as people were trying to leave the address.
The people in the van tried to drive Gamboa to the hospital and called 911 on their way there.
Deputies and paramedics got to the van as it was in the intersection on Gray Highway between the McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme, where Gamboa was pronounced dead.
A man, possibly thought to be the shooter, is now being interviewed by investigators along with the passengers in the van.
