GRAY, Ga. — Two former Jones County nursing home aides pleaded guilty Tuesday to threatening and punching a patient back in February 2018.

Criminal Deputy Clerk Jinny Vaughn with the Jones County Superior Court says Vonshell Napier pleaded guilty to four counts of exploitation or intimidation of an elderly person.

Vaughn says the other woman charged in the case, Beverly Jackson, pleaded guilty to two counts of the same charge.

Napier faces up to 80 years in prison, and Beverly up to 40 years, according to Vaughn.

At the time, the Jones County Sheriff's Office said the two women worked at Lynn Haven Nursing Home off Monticello Highway. They were caught physically abusing an 89-year-old man after his family put a camera in the room.

Vaughn says they'll be sentenced Thursday in Jones County Superior Court at 10 a.m.
