A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a homicide that happened last September in east Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, Willis Deterra Roberts was charged with murder in connection to the September homicide of Crystal Walker.

She was found unresponsive by family members in her apartment at Glenwood Village Apartments on Gray Highway.

Bibb County coroner Leon Jones said Walker died of multiple blunt force trauma and sharp force injury.

Roberts was taken to the Criminal Investigation Division for the sheriff's office where he was questioned. He was then arrested in the Fort Hill neighborhood just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He is currently being held in the Bibb County jail without bond.

Deputies say Roberts and Walker were married.
