Gwinnett County police are searching for the duo that used more than $1,000 in movie money at a Buford Walmart.
The fake cash looked like real $100 bills, except it was stamped with "FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY".
Gwinnett County Police say a man and women used the movie cash at the Walmart on Sardis Church Road in Buford on Tuesday, July 19. A cashier accepted $1,000 to purchase lawn equipment. The female returned one of the items at another Walmart at I-985 and Buford Drive. Because the fraud had not yet been detected, she was able to get cash for her return.
The cashier who accepted the fake bills quit her job shortly after the incident, but police are still searching for the two suspects. The man is described as a black male wearing a pink shirt, khaki shorts, a white Chicago Bulls hat, and white sneakers.
The woman is described as a white female with black shirt and pants, tattoos on both arms and chest, and wearing glasses.
The vehicle they were driving was a red 4-door hatchback, possibly a Ford Focus or Kia Forte.
