WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Northside High School didn’t have to take long or look far for their new athletic director and football coach.

Tuesday afternoon, the Houston County School board unanimously selected Chad Alligood to hold both positions.

Alligood was the offensive coordinator the past two season for the Eagles. Prior to that, he held head coaching duties at Washington-Wilkes in 2016 and 2017. He is no stranger to the Houston County School System, holding stints at both Northside and Perry High School in 2007 and 2009 during his 25th career as a teacher and coach. Alligood is a native of Wilkinson County and graduate of Wilkinson County High School.

Alligood succeeds Kevin Kinsler, who retired at the end of last season. Kinsler won 100 games with the Eagles during his 10 years as head coach and led the team to a state championship in 2014.
