After a back and forth first half, the Bears stepped up their defense in the final 2 quarters to beat the Bucs 64-41 at Hawkins Arena Saturday afternoon.
Mercer was led by Shannon Titus who scored a team high 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, her first double double of her collegiate career.
Linnea Rosendal scored 15 points, and Amanda Thompson also recorded a double double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. It's her 11th double double of the season.
The Bears improve to 13-7 overall and are still undefeated (5-0) in the Southern Conference. Up next they will host Chattanooga on Thursday.
