Amanda Thompson made history claiming the Southern Conference player of the week honor for the 4th time this year, becoming the first Mercer player to receive the honor 4 times in a season. 

It's also the third straight week she has been the league's player of the week. The senior captain averaged a double-double averaging 17 points per game and recording 11 rebounds per contest during the week. 

The forward is averaging career highs this year in points per game (12.7) and rebounds (9.1). In her last game against Columbia on Sunday, she scored 18 points and recorded 11 boards in the 72-68 loss.
