Cincinnati Bengals corner back and Twiggs County native Darqueze Dennard will hand out free Nike backpacks to 150 kids at the Rosa Jackson Center on Friday, July 19th.
This is the first time Dennard is having a back-to-school bash giveaway.
He will only give out 150 backpacks and students from grades 1st - 12th can attend. Check in starts at 5:30, and the giveaway will start at 6 p.m.
There will also be other prizes handed out at the event.
Dennard was drafted in the first round of the 2014 draft with the 24th overall pick by the Bengals. He played college football at Michigan State.
