Football Friday Night Roundup: Warner Robins pulls out win over Jones County, ACE dominates Southwest

Catch up on the scores and highlights right here!

MACON, Ga. — The high school football regular season in Central Georgia is slowly winding down. Week 11 of the season is in the books.

There were plenty of upsets, close calls, and blowout wins to go around on Friday night, including a key win for a local powerhouse looking to get its season on track before the playoffs.

BEST GAME

Warner Robins 54, Jones County 30

The Demons seem to be putting it together at the right time of year. All season it seemed like this team might finally be slowing down after a historic run over the last few seasons. But tonight proved that when this team is on they are as dangerous as in the state. This team could be a dark horse in the playoffs, which feels weird saying about the defending state champion.

THREE STARS

D.J Hudson, Northside quarterback: He finished 12-of-15 for 212 yards and three passing touchdowns. It was an efficient performance from the Eagles’ signal caller. Hudson helped lead them to a blowout victory over crosstown rival Veterans.

Westside: The Seminoles pulled out all the stops to pull out a massive region win over Baldwin tonight including a fake punt to put the game away for good. This is another team that could make some noise in the playoffs.

Mary Persons: The Bulldogs have had a bit of a roller coaster season but they notched a key win over Upson-Lee in a region showdown. This is the type of win that can really help propel a team to potential postseason success.
