The Macon Bacon have played their first two games of their inaugural season and are not off to a bad start claiming both contests.

After the Bacon took down their rival Savannah Bananas Thursday night on the road, the Bacon returned to Luther Williams Field to launch their home opener against the Lexington County Blowfish. It was a sold-out crowd for their renovated home stadium, and the Bacon got off to a hot start.

The Macon scored four runs in the 2nd, and held the lead until the 5th inning when the Blowfish tied the game with a 3-run homerun from Marc McCordy. But just like in their season opener against Savannah, the Bacon rallied back and took down Lexington County 8-4. The Bacon are 2-0 on the year, and will welcome the Bananas Saturday night at Luther Williams for round 2 of the Food Fight. First pitch is set for 7.
