The Mercer Bears women's soccer team kicks off their 2017 campaign this Friday on the road, and to help prepare for their season opener, the Bears hosted Stetson for an exhibition Sunday afternoon.

The Bears are looking to improve on a 10-9-1 record where they went 6-3 in league play a season ago... Mercer was picked to finish fifth in the conference in the preseason coaches poll that was released on Thursday. Now the Bears will welcome 10 freshmen to the team and will try to replace Maddie Clark who graduated last year and led the team in scoring with 14 goals. The good news is, that team is returning players like Logan Culver and Valeria Bermeo. The Bears will open the season at Troy on Friday and then they will play their first home match on Sunday against Montevallo.
