WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man is in custody after a brief high-speed chase on Highway 96 Tuesday.

According to Lt. Brian Blanton with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, they were looking for a missing person with outstanding warrants when they received a tip that he was at a gas station on Highway 96.

When deputies found the man, Blanton says he was swerving around and hitting curbs.

He managed to get away from deputies at the Kroger off Houston Lake Road and Highway 96. He was later caught on Old Perry Road and Highway 96.

Blanton says the chase lasted around 5-8 minutes in total. He could not remember the name of the suspect, but this story will be updated with that information once it’s available.
