VIRGINIA, USA — Texas-based Buc-ee's is looking to expand into another East Coast state.
According to officials in Virginia, Buc-ee's is working on bringing its beaver nuggets and clean bathrooms to a new location east of Richmond.
The location is projected to be 74,000 square feet, just shy of the Buc-ee's being built in Luling that will soon be their largest service station in the country. Its expected opening date is 2027.
Officials in Kent County, Virginia said Buc-ee's submitted a conditional use permit regarding a proposed sign plan. They also stated that Buc-ee's is working with the Virginia Department of Transportation to see what transportation improvements are needed to make the new service station a reality.
Recently, Buc-ee's also received permission to add a third location in Ocala, Florida, which is about an hour northwest of Orlando.
The gas station chain has a cult following across the United States, as many people have come to love its food, snacks, souvenirs and travel items. The chain is also known for the sheer size of its locations, as well as its large number of gas pumps and parking spaces.
