GORDON, Ga. — Update, 5:28 p.m. March 29

According to the deputy clerk for the city of Gordon, as well as Public Works Superintendent Tim Allen, the boil water advisory that was issues on March 27 is now lifted.

There is a water main break in Gordon and a boil water advisory has been issued, according to city councilman Terry Eady.

The break is at Kennington Road and Pine Street, that is now blocked off. There may be standing water in that area. It is causing low pressure around Main Street.

Crews are trying to get out and starting work on it.

So far there are a few homes without water.  The City of Gordon is now under a boil water notice. They ask that people conserve as much water as possible.
