After a couple of dry days, we're now getting back to a more unsettled stretch of weather for the weekend and next week.
For Friday we're not expecting a washout, in fact most will stay dry, but still a few light showers or sprinkles can't be ruled out. Temperatures will stay mild this afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
A weak front will push through central Georgia tomorrow, this will bring an isolated shower chance, mainly for the first part of the day. By the afternoon though, there may even be some peaks of sunshine. Temperatures will be quite warm with highs in the low 70s for most spots.
It's a very similar story for the day on Sunday. A few scattered showers are fair game for both the morning and the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures will likely range from the 60s to low 70s north to south.
For next week it looks like we have more organized rain chance in the Tuesday - Wednesday time frame. The models are still struggling with the mid and long range forecast though so be sure to keep checking back.
Temperatures trend warmer late next week. For now we're forecasting highs in the low to mid 70s for Wednesday and Thursday.
The highest rainfall totals for the next 7-days will remain over north Georgia, but north of Macon we're expecting totals in the 2 to 4 inch range. Further south expect totals more along the lines of a half inch up to 2 inches.
