Some areas of Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and Amerson River Park are closed due to minor flooding.
On Friday night, the Ocmulgee River passed 16 feet, which caused minor flooding along the Heritage Trail and the back area and lower parking lot of Amerson, according to a Macon-Bibb County news release.
The trail and the flooded areas of the park are now closed.
The Parks and Beautification Department will monitor the river levels to determine any future closings.
Access to the river and flooded areas will be closed until the water recedes.
