USAF: First JSTARS aircraft to come to Robins for depot maintenance this summer

The Air Force says this would be a "proof of concept" for the Robins Air Logistics Complex, which currently runs depot maintenance programs for other aircraft.

In a United States Air Force press release, it was announced a JSTARS aircraft is coming to Robins Air Force Base for maintenance this summer.

The release says the aircraft would come to Robins for maintenance by July of this year.

The Air Force says this would be a "proof of concept" for the Robins Air Logistics Complex, which currently runs depot maintenance programs for other aircraft.

The JSTARS Active Duty program is located at Robins, but this would bring some of the program's maintenance to Robins.

Currently, the Air Force has a contract with Northrop Grumman for system support that runs through 2022, this would simply assist in that effort, according to the release.

13WMAZ will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
