Open for Business: Mini Dixie Donuts

Mini Dixie Donuts is officially open for business!

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Local businesses across Central Georgia have felt the effects of COVID-19, but many are still finding new ways to stay open.

One Warner Robins donut shop, decided to open its doors for the first time today!

Friday morning, owner Ashley James celebrated the grand opening of Mini Dixie Donuts with a virtual ribbon cutting.

"We thought it would be more of a soft open, that we weren't going to be as busy as we were," says James. "I can't complain about the response. We've been super busy and it's been amazing."

Mini Dixie Donuts specializes in miniature, bite-sized donuts that can be ordered in a variety of icing and topping combinations.

"They're fun and exciting. You can do all sorts of things with them: birthdays, weddings. Kids really love them," says James. "To have something different like minis is fun."

Despite some issues caused by Thursday's severe weather, James is looking forward to Mini Dixie's future.

"It's completely our own spin on donuts. You can eat more of them," says James. "But, I'm excited for day two tomorrow so we'll see how it goes."

Currently Mini Dixie Donuts is offering curbside pick-up for donut pre-orders.

They are open Monday through Saturday from 6-2 pm.

Mini Dixie Donuts is located at 4027 Watson Boulevard, Suite 220 in Warner Robins.
