Friday afternoon, the family and friends of Veronique Reaves held a fundraiser for the “Justice for Roni Foundation.”
She’s the Baldwin County woman who was shot and killed last month while driving on Highway 212.
Friday afternoon, her husband, Analdo Reaves, held a fish fry at a business in Milledgeville to collect money that he says could be put towards hiring a private investigator onto the case.
"It's a hard time for everybody and we basically are just trying to get justice, that's our main goal," says Analdo.
Reaves was killed over a month ago, and so far, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
"We're just getting concerned," says Analdo. "We just don't think Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is being transparent with me or the family."
Analdo says he's seeking justice for his wife.
“I don’t know who it is, it don’t matter who it is, but in 2017, I really think someone should be brought to face justice or at least go to trial because, like I said, in 2017, you should not be able just to shoot somebody going down the road to go home and nothing comes of it," says Reaves.
Captain Brad King with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says on Monday investigators found new evidence possibly related to the gun used to kill Reaves.
"I will go so far as to tell you that it is in reference to a different crime, but we have a lead that we're exploring right now that might actually connect the two," says King.
King would not elaborate about what the evidence actually is or what other crime it could be related to. He says that could hinder the investigation.
King also says they asked the FBI to help analyze surveillance video from surrounding businesses on Highway 212.
"What I can promise you is that this case will never be closed and walked away from," says King.
But with no arrests and no suspects named a month after his wife's death, Analdo isn't convinced investigators are doing their best.
"There's a lot of questions we don't have any answers to and they won't give us any answers, so we don't really know what to do at this point," says Analdo.

Next week, Reaves is holding a "march for justice" for his wife.
People will meet at the salon where Veronique used to work and walk to the Baldwin County courthouse.
The address of the salon is 1000 W. Montgomery Street, Milledgeville, Ga.
Analdo says people should begin to gather at 3 p.m. for the march.
