(UPDATE 2 p.m.) Investigator Kenny Allen with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office says the bus hit the back end of a truck pulling a trailer.
Everyone on the bus was taken to a local hospital, and one of the passengers is in critical condition.
Allen says he believes 5-6 people were on the bus at the time of the accident and the driver of the truck was uninjured.

A school bus wreck has blocked part of Highway 49 in Jones County.
A post from the Sheriff’s Office around 12:30 p.m. asks people to avoid the area between the Walthall Gas Station and Peacock’s Auto Salvage.
Sheriff Butch Reece says the bus involved in the accident was a bus from the Augusta-area.
The post says there are injuries.
An exact number of injuries, the severity of those injuries, and if passengers were on the bus is unknown.
