36-year-old man shot, killed in boarding house in Macon

A 36-year-old man was shot to death in a boarding house on Roy Street.

MACON, Ga. — A man was shot to death in a boarding house in Macon on Tuesday night.

That’s according to Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones.

Jones says the call came in around 9:30 p.m. and the man who died after the Roy Street shooting is identified as 36-year-old Norbert Volmar, Jr.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's office, three other men were in the house at the time of the shooting, but no one else was injured.

The man's body will be sent to the GBI crime lab for further investigation, according to Jones.

There is no word yet on how many times or where the man was shot.
