38-year-old teacher at Crisp Academy fired and arrested after being charged with child molestation

The woman was also charged with carrying a weapon within a school safety zone.

CRISP COUNTY, Georgia — A teacher at a Crisp County school has been arrested and charged with child molestation, according to a release from the Crisp County Sheriff’s Department. 

38-year-old Allison Griswold was arrested after a mandated reporter notified the sheriff’s office about evidence of sexual contact between a teacher and a juvenile. Griswold was a teacher at Crisp Academy. She was fired just before being arrested. 

 Griswold was charged with aggravated child molestation, improper sexual contact by an employee, two counts of obscene telephone contact with a child and carrying weapons within a school zone. 

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.. She was taken to the Crisp County Detention Center.
