ATLANTA — Elton John has officially said goodbye to his longtime Atlanta home. The Rocket Man's Buckhead condo sold for millions over the initial listing price.

Luxury relator Chase Mizell posted that the home sold for 45% over the asking price. The 13,000-square-foot home was initially listed at $4,995,000. It sold for a whopping $7.225 million!

Back in September, Buckhead.com reported that Sir Elton had begun the process to quietly move out. Back in 1991, the legendary singer moved into the Park Place on Peachtree condo at 2660 Peachtree Road. The A-Town quickly became his second hometown

"With great pleasure, we announce the triumphant finale of a year-long journey—celebrating the sale of Sir Elton John’s exquisite condominium," Mizell wrote on Instagram.

Mizell added the home sold to Betsy Akers with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty.

The luxurious condo occupies seven combined units on multiple floors of the building. According to Buckhead.com, the condo was originally purchased for just under $1 million.
