42 years of fun: Everything you need to know for Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival

The Pinkest Party on Earth is here, and you can prepare for all the events and concerts.

MACON, Ga. — The 42nd annual Cherry Blossom Festival is here, and the Macon community is ready to kick off the Pinkest Party on Earth.

It begins on Friday March 15, and lasts until the 24th. There will be several events scheduled during the week, including the famous Cherry Blossom Parade on Sunday March 17.

13WMAZ compiled a list of information you need to know for this year's festival.

Events

Saturday, March 9

Before the party starts,  you can get your car decked out in Cherry Blossoms at the Acme center on Riverside Drive. You can drive your car through and get pink designs like Cherry Blossoms,  Poodles, Trees, Family Trees, Children’s Names, Business Names, and more. You can find out more about pricing and details here!

And not to worry, if you miss the painting event on the 9th you can call the paint crew to meet you at work or home and they'll come to you. Use the number 478-737-3059 to plan a mobile paint job. 

Friday, March 15-24

Each day of the festival has several events stacked up back to back, and you can find the full itinerary of the week broken down by days and hours here. 

Some notable events include the Ready Go Dog Show, the Pink Provisions Party, Cherry Blossom Ball, Pink Pancake Breakfast, Weiner Dog Race, Cherry Blossom Parade, and more!

Tickets

You can get admission tickets at the gate, and they are $10 a day.

If you want to buy presale ride handstamp tickets, you can do so here!

(They aren't for admission, just to get you on rides.)

They are discounted to $20 for unlimited rides if you order before March 14. 

After March 14, arm bands for rides are $25 Mon-Fri, and $30 on the weekend.

Park Procedures

All guest for the festival in Carolyn Crayton Park need to have a clear bag. These do not include tinted plastic, mesh, or patterned plastic bags.

Guests are also allowed one unopened water bottle.

You can carry medical bags and diaper bags however, and they will be searched and tagged by security at the gates. The tag must remain on your bag while in the park.

If you arrive to the festival without a clear bag, you will be asked to return it to your car. 

There is also a list of requirement for entry:

  • Children 15 & under MUST be Chaperoned by an Adult 21+ *Subject to ID Check
  • No Re-entry
  • No Admission or Re-admission 30 Minutes Prior to Closing
  • No Outside Food or Drink
  • No Coolers
  • No Pets
  • No Drones
  • No Offensive Clothing
  • No Ski Masks
  • Subject to Search at Any Time
