Get your holiday shopping done early at the 567 Center during the Favorite Things exhibit

The center will have adjusted hours on First Friday. They'll be open from 5-8 p.m.

MACON, Ga. — It's never too early to start your Christmas shopping!

On First Friday, you can get into the giving spirit at the 567 Center for Renewal.

The Favorite Things exhibit features 20 different Central Georgia artists who create in various mediums.

"This exhibit is a great way to highlight a variety of our local talent from painters, to potters, to glassblowers. You'll find a little bit of everything in our exhibit," Executive Director Melissa Macker said.

All items are priced at $100 or lower so you can find an affordable, hand-made gift for every person in your life.

This is the 8th year the center has held the exhibit.

"We have a lot of regulars every year who come back to see what their favorite potters and painters have created this year and want to come back and get more of their favorite painting and giftable items for the holidays," Macker said.

She says the exhibit has a little something for everyone.

"There's a lot of one-of-a-kind items here and so if you don't come you might miss out on your favorite gift," she said.

On First Friday the 567 Center will stay open a little later so visitors have time to come through. Macker says handmade gifts are a way to show your loved ones how special they are to you.

"Handmade gifts are a really wonderful way to show that you're really thinking about someone and that you picked something out that's unique, just for them," Macker said.

There will be a chance to meet some of the artists who could have your next favorite thing during the First Friday opening. You can also see one of the center's glass artists doing a live glass-blowing demonstration outside the center.
