A Macon woman's shooting death more than a month ago, first reported as a suicide, is now being investigated as a suspicious death.

Kendra Jackson, 46, died from a gunshot wound to the head June 12 at 571 Bel Meade Place, Macon.

A sheriff's office incident report states she was arguing with her fiance, William Pounds. The report states they were arguing about ending their relationship.

When Pounds told her that he wanted to separate, Jackson said, "That's fine, but one of us is going to leave this Earth," the report states.

Pounds told investigators that Jackson then picked up his .40 caliber handgun and placed it to her head, the report states. Pounds told investigators he attempted to take the weapon from her, but he was too late, the report states.

Bibb County Sheriff's Lt. Randy Gonzalez said Tuesday that investigators called the death suspicious. He would not go into details about why or any possible suspects.
