Special housing project for a good cause completed in Bonaire. Here's who will be helped

The house will be sold and a portion of the proceeds will go towards a good cause and help people in need.

BONAIRE, Ga. — The Home Builders Association of Middle Georgia is unveiling its "Middle Georgia Dreams: A Showcase Home."

The Home Builders Association of Middle Georgia is a non-profit organization comprised of professionals in all branches of the building industry.

Sponsors took part in donating materials for the building and the furnishing of the Bonaire home.

President of the Home Builders Association Kristy Steele says it is all made possibly by community donations.

"We built the home with charitable donations of material and labor," Steele said. "Even though people were donating, they didn't skimp on the craftsmanship."

The house will be sold and a portion of the proceeds will go to Crisis Line & Safehouse of Central Georgia and Genesis Joy House to promote and encourage women to build their dreams.

It's the first women's build for the Home Builder's Association of Middle Georgia.

"We feel like it's executed with the highest level of quality and again built with love," Steele said.
