MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Two Baldwin County restaurant owners are in jail on charges of sexual battery after an incident at the restaurant they co-own.

According to a news release from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, they were contacted a week ago with a complaint of inappropriate behavior between management and staff at Ole’ Chobys on North Columbia Street.

Then, on February 7, Joni and Chris Martin were arrested and charged with one count of sexual battery each -- stemming from two separate incidents.

Investigators say female staff members reported being touched in a sexual nature without authority or consent.

More charges may be pending as the investigation continues.

Anyone with information can call the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at 478-445-4893.
