Woman in Critical Condition After Shooting, Bibb Sheriff's Office Investigating

A "ShotSpotter" alert and 911 call came in just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

MACON, Ga. — A woman is reported in critical condition after a shooting at a home in Macon. 

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says it happened in the 3400 block of Mary Drive just before 2 a.m. Saturday. 

They say a ShotSpotter alert was triggered and they got a call for a person down at about the same time. 

Deputies found a 56-year-old woman shot at a house once they arrived. 

The sheriff's office says that they are still working to figure out what led up to the shooting.
